The Ohio Department of Education announced that the deadline to apply for an EdChoice or EdChoice Expansion (Income-Based) scholarship is now extended to September 5. The application window was originally scheduled to close August 1.
Who is eligible to apply for an EdChoice scholarship?
In the Mansfield area, any student who just completed 6th grade in a Mansfield City elementary school and would be attending Mansfield Middle School for the 2014-2015 school year is eligible to apply. Also, any student who just completed 7th or 8th grade at Mansfield Middle School is eligible to apply. As mentioned in the news release from the Ohio Department of Education, additional schools across the state could possibly be added to the list of eligible public schools due to data scrubbing.

A family who has an incoming kindergarten or incoming first-grade student and is at or below the income guidelines displayed below is eligible to apply for this income-based scholarship:
