Jonathon “Johnny” A. Rigsby, 32, of Galion, passed away unexpectedly June 20, 2014. Born February 21, 1982 in Mansfield, he was the son of John Bond and Debra (Rigsby) Waugh. Johnny was a funny, happy, good hearted man who loved his children more than anything. A proud veteran and true leader, Johnny had served with the National Guard on a one year tour in Iraq. He was enrolled in college with plans of becoming a Social Worker so he could give back to the veteran community.
In his free time, Johnny enjoyed hunting, camping, racing at Mansfield Motor Speedway, and fishing with his bud, Devin Alexander. He was a member of the VFW in Pikeville, KY.
He is survived by his significant other, Ashley Helton of Chillicothe, OH; daughters, Shay Rigsby of Louisa, KY and Trinity Rigsby of Chillicothe, OH; sons, Owen Rigsby and Devin Rigsby, both of Louisa, KY; parents, John (Tammy) Bond of Mansfield and Debra (Randy) Waugh of Louisa, KY; grandparents, Ronald (Jean) Rigsby of Lexington, OH, Estel “Bud” (Lois) Bond of Mansfield, and Tom (Debbie) Vermillion of Ashland, OH; brothers, Michael Tucker, Jr. of Mansfield, Dalton Bond of Mansfield, Nick Waugh of Louisa, KY, and Randy (Brandy) Waugh of Ashland, KY; sisters, Debbie (L.B.) Maynard, Shelly (Charlie) Vinson, both of Louisa, KY, Leona (Bryan) Lacy, Nicole (Tyler) Kiser, and Crystal Tucker, all of Mansfield; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many good friends.
Johnny was preceded in death by his grandmother, Grace Mosier; grandmother, Donna Kennedy; and great-grandparents, Alex (Roberta) Sloan.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 27, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Wilson Funeral Home in Louisa, KY. Two additional hours of visitation will be held prior to the funeral, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Waugh Cemetery.
