MANSFIELD — Speedway LLC has purchased a property adjacent to its 1321 Park Ave. West location in Mansfield, according to paperwork filed at the Richland County Auditor’s Office.
The gas station and store, owned by Marathon Petroleum based in Findlay, Ohio, purchased the house at 25 Brookwood Way South for $49,500 in March from David Haring, the successor trustee of the Mary Lou Donley Trust.
A representative of Speedway said, “at this time, it is too early for us to provide comment,” but the Mansfield’s manager of codes and permits, Marc Milliron, provided some insight.
Milliron said the property is zoned “B2” or “general business district,” meaning it could be redeveloped for the gas station. He said no permits have been filed showing future intentions.
A listing on Trulia describes the property as a 1,600-square foot single family home with three bedrooms and one bathroom. It also highlights its “business potential.”
