Richland Newhope, along with Element of Art Studio/Gallery and the Richland Mall, are sponsoring the 4th Annual Bringing the Elements Together Art and Talent Exhibition featuring the work of individuals supported by Richland Newhope. It will take place Friday, March 14 from 11:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the Richland Mall in Ontario.
This is one of several activities to mark Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month in March. Artwork displayed will include paintings, photography, pottery, and jewelry. Some will be available for purchase. Artists will also be producing artwork during the exhibition.
There will also be a variety of live performances, including the Sparkles cheerleading squad, the Richland Newhope Industries, Inc. (RNI) Dance Troupe, and children from Appleseed Child Care. The event is designed to showcase the many ‘abilities’ that people with developmental disabilities have and to involve the entire community in an awareness month activity.
In addition to the art and talent exhibition, the event will also include informational displays and some simulated disability awareness activities.
In 2013, Richland Newhope (Richland County Board of Developmental Disabilities) supported more than 1,700 individuals through early intervention, preschool, adult, residential, therapy, transportation and other family support programs.
