MANSFIELD — The Richland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a female infant on Satinwood Circle North, the department announced Thursday afternoon.
The sheriff’s office was dispatched to 695 Satinwood Circle North in response to a six-month old baby that was not breathing, according to an incident report.
“Upon our arrival, the victim was in the back of the squad,” the report stated.
Richland County Sheriff Major Crimes Unit and Coroners Office are conducting the investigation, said Major Joe Masi, Cheif Deputy of the sheriff’s department.
