Ora Jeanette Davis, 82, of Mansfield, passed away Friday afternoon, Feb. 16, 2018, at Mansfield Memorial Homes, where she resided the last eight months.

She was born June 10, 1935, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to the late William Delmer and Ruth D. (Magill) Krout.

Jeanette lived most of her life in Mansfield and worked several years in the janitorial business. She had previously worked at Martin Hardware and Appleseed True Value. Jeanette was a former member of Wayside Mission Church. Passionate about sharing God’s word, she previously taught Sunday school and was a choir leader at First Church of the Open Bible for several years.

She is survived by three daughters, Robin (Richard) Ritter, Debra (Thomas) Pettry and Karla (Ricky) Lyons with whom she made her home until recently; six grandchildren; three step grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two step sisters, Henrietta Lane and Barbara Richardson.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Zane L. Davis; one grandson; and a sister, Charlotte Krout.

The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, at Foursquare Gospel Church, 383 Davidson St., Mansfield. Pastor David Guild will conduct the service which immediately follows at 1 p.m. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Mansfield Cemetery.
