Howard J. Sprang, 81, of Lucas, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018.
He was born on Aug. 2, 1936, in Mansfield, to Howard L. Sprang and Eula F. McKown. He enjoyed fishing, tinkering, and the Cleveland Indians. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by four children, Gary M. (Lori) Sprang, of Dellroy, Ohio, Karen Sprang, of Lucas, Andrew W. (Jacque) Sprang, of Lodi, and Kristian (Daneille) Sprang, of Lucas; brother, Dale (Sue) Sprang, of Perrysville; grandchildren, Nicole, Aaron, Ellen, Chelsea, Adam, Erick, Katy, Grant, Madeline, Kit, and Jacob; five great-grandchildren; and family friend, Charlene Reed.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Phyllis Sprang; and four siblings, Jim, Gloria, Harold, and Anna Mae.
Calling hours will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, OH. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Lucas, Ohio.
