BUCYRUS — The Bucyrus Police Department handled the following calls on Monday, May 22.
7:46 a.m. An income tax summons was served at the Police Department.
8:10 a.m. Officers checked on a parking complaint in the 100 block of N. Poplar St.
11:10 a.m. A report of possible child abuse was investigated.
12:07 p.m. Officers conducted a civil standby in the 800 block of Rogers St.
1:29 p.m. Officers attempted contact with a subject for Huron County in the 400 block of Woodlawn Ave.
2:06 p.m. A report of a man in a motorized scooter in traffic on E. Mansfield and Whetstone. Officers were unable to locate.
2:09 p.m. A civil standby in the 200 block of Penn Ave. was taken care of.
3:23 p.m. Kevin Kelley, 37, was issued a citation for Driving Under Suspension and Fictitious Plates. He was also arrested on a Crawford County warrant. He was issued his paperwork and transported to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for court or bond.
4:02 p.m. A report of young children in the roadway without a parent around was investigated in the 400 block of E. Warren Street.
4:03 p.m. A bicycle found behind a residence in the 100 block of W. Irving Street was brought to the Police Department for safe keeping.
4:39 p.m. Officers assisted a motorist locked out of her vehicle at Whetstone Plaza.
5:17 p.m. A domestic disturbance in the 400 block of E. Rensselaer Street was investigated.
6:16 p.m. Officers checked on a suspicious vehicle in the area of Beal Avenue at Ohio 19.
6:33 p.m. A domestic disturbance was investigated in the 900 block of S. East Street.
7:16 p.m. A subject at Bucyrus Plaza reported being assaulted by someone he knows.
8:48 p.m. Officers checked the 100 block of N. Spring Street after receiving an open line 9-1-1 call. No one in the area reported having an emergency.
9:01 p.m. A verbal domestic disturbance was investigated in the 900 block of Elm Street.
9:55 p.m. An alarm and open door was investigated in the 200 block of Stetzer Road South.
10:17 p.m. Officers checked on a suspicious person in the 200 block of E. Mansfield Street.
10:35 p.m. A verbal traffic warning was given in the area of Auto Ave. and Nauman Ave.
111:26 p.m. A verbal traffic warning was given in the area of E. Warren St. and Wiley St.
11:52 p.m. A report of possible drug use in the 1200 block of Monnett St. was investigated.
Tuesday, May 23
12:22 a.m. Officers on patrol investigated a suspicious male in an alley in the Monnett St. area.
1:41 a.m. William Bauer, 41, was arrested for obstructing official business, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and tampering with evidence. He was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for an appearance in court.
3:09 a.m. Officers checked a residence on Emerson St. for a suicidal female out of Crestline.
