Established in 2017 by a group of local artists, the Membrane Constellation Exhibition was created as an opportunity for creatives to challenge themselves artistically while building connections with fellow artists.

Each exhibition centers around a unique theme, encouraging participants to step outside their creative comfort zones and produce original work inspired by a shared concept.

Over the years, the exhibition has explored a variety of subjects, with each theme offering artists an opportunity to interpret an idea through their own artistic styles and perspectives.

Earlier this year, participating artists explored the theme “Why I Love Mansfield,” celebrating their personal connections to the community.

This October, the series takes a decidedly different direction with “Disembodied Spirits,” a theme that embraces the mysterious and otherworldly just in time for Halloween.

Membrane Constellation Exhibition XII will feature artwork by nine participating artists: Tom Barrett III, Aurelio Villa Luna Diaz, Jason Ned Kaufman, Tammy McQuillen, John Richey, Steven Stemple, Justin Williams, Gretchen Ford-Wuchich, and Neil Yoder.

While each artist approaches the theme from a unique perspective, the exhibition brings their individual interpretations together in a collective celebration of artistic expression, imagination, and creative exploration.

More than a traditional art exhibition, Membrane Constellation represents the spirit of collaboration within Mansfield’s creative community. What began as a way for local artists to challenge themselves and connect with one another has grown into an ongoing exhibition series that invites the public to experience original artwork and engage with the artists behind it.

The Oct. 30 exhibition is open to the community, and attendees are encouraged to embrace the Halloween spirit by wearing costumes. Light refreshments will be provided throughout the evening.

Whether you’re a longtime supporter of the local arts scene or simply looking for a unique way to spend Halloween weekend, Membrane Constellation Exhibition XII offers an opportunity to experience the creativity and imagination of Mansfield’s artists.

This event is open to the community. Light refreshments will be provided, and costumes are encouraged.
