Jason Matthew Braden, age 55, of Mansfield, Ohio, was born on September 6, 1971, to his parents, Rodney and Diane (Turner) Braden. He passed away at OSU Wexner Hospital on Friday, September 25, 2026.
He was a kindhearted and loving man who was also an extremely hard worker. He was an avid Michigan fan and enjoyed woodworking, tinkering with his truck, and simply keeping busy with the things he loved.
Jason had a generous heart and was always willing to help others. He loved having a good time, making memories, and most of all, spending time with his family and grandchildren. His family meant the world to him.
His passing was completely unexpected, leaving a deep sense of loss for everyone who knew and loved him. Mary was his soulmate; the love they shared was truly special.
Jason will be remembered for his kind heart, hard work, generous spirit, sense of humor, and the love he had for his family. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his son, Garrett (Kirsten) Braden; grandchildren, Tallulah, Sadie, and Mabel (expected to be here in October); soulmate, Mary Zeigler; sibling, Nic (Michelle) Braden; several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and brother, Justin Braden.
Graveside inurnment will be held at Mansfield Memorial Park on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 12:30pm.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life on Saturday, October 17 from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the Eagles, Aerie #336, 129 N. Main Street, Mansfield, OH 44903.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family, in care of his son, Garrett Braden.
