Ruth A. Fultz, 63, of Mansfield, passed away just after midnight, Friday, April 28, 2017 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital after a long battle with cancer. She was born August 16, 1953, in Pontiac, Illinois, to the late Coy and Nellie (Fife) Fultz.
Ruth retired from Jay Industries and enjoyed relaxing on the porch with her cup of coffee. She enjoyed the company of her dog, Cookie. Tending to her flower and vegetable gardens were a special joy for her. Ornery and a bit spunky, Ruth had a personality you couldn’t ignore. She loved her family fiercely and spoiled her children and grandchildren with affection. Ruth enjoyed movies, especially Christmas and scary ones.
She is survived by her son, Steve (Tabby) Fultz; daughter, Kathy (Josh) Zickefoose; seven grandchildren, Steve Fultz, Jr., Hunter Fultz, Kaden Fultz, Hannah Fultz, Brooklyn Fultz, Shaylyn Bryant and Kaelyn Zickefoose; four sisters, Pat Allan, Carolyn (Willard) Stamper, Lois Puckett, Linda (Skeet) Foor; a brother, David (Mary) Fultz; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sonya; sister, Phyllis Pluym; and lifelong companion, Frank Kososky.
The family will receive friends from 5-8p.m. Monday, May 1, 2017, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Oakland Cemetery, Shelby. Memorial contributions may be made to Cleveland Clinic Cancer Center, 1125 Aspira Court, Mansfield, Ohio 44906.
