Diane Putney, born January 23, 1953, went home to be with the Lord on September 11, 2026. She was a loving mother, Nana, sister, aunt, and cherished friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Diane loved her family with all her heart. She was a devoted mother who supported her sons, Joseph and Gary, through every chapter of their lives. She was both a proud skateboard mom and military mom, always there to cheer her sons on, encourage them, and stand beside them wherever life took them. Her love and support were unconditional, and her boys always knew they could count on her.
Diane was dedicated to helping those in need and spent many years working as an LPN, caring for others with compassion and kindness. Later, she changed career paths and worked at Therm-O-Disc in Mansfield, where she remained until her retirement.
Diane was also a loving Nana who took great pride in her grandchildren. She especially treasured listening to her granddaughter, Bella, share her incredible musical talents. Bella’s ability to play many different instruments brought Diane tremendous joy, and Diane loved nothing more than sitting back and listening to her granddaughter play.
Anyone who knew Diane knew of her love for a good bargain. She was an avid flea market shopper and could spend hours searching garage sales for that special find. She had a gift for discovering treasures and always enjoyed the excitement of finding something wonderful at a great price. Diane also enjoyed playing scratch-off lottery tickets and never passed up the chance to try her luck.
Above all, Diane was a woman who loved deeply. Her family was her greatest treasure, and the memories she created with them will remain in their hearts forever.
Diane is survived by her sons, Joseph Putney and Gary Putney and his wife, Lina; her beloved granddaughter, Bella; and her nieces and nephews, Sally Putney, Chris Putney, Clarence Putney, and Howard Putney (Patti).
She was preceded in death by her father, Burrill Putney; her mother, Sally Putney; her brothers, George Putney and Bruce Putney; and her daughter-in-law, Julie Putney.
Though Diane is no longer with us, her love, laughter, strength, and unconditional devotion to her family will live on through the people she loved most. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories, countless stories, and a family who will forever carry her in their hearts.
Rest peacefully, Diane. You were loved more than words can say, and you will be missed more than you could ever know.
