Carol D. Snyder of Ontario passed away Sunday morning, August 30, 2026, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.

She was born on December 4, 1946, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Mildred (Durbin) and Richard Palmer. She married Rex Snyder and they created a wonderful life together. Carol had a wonderful, unique sense of humor and enjoyed joking around with others. Carol was an area homemaker her entire life but, in her younger years, worked with her parents at Palmer’s Bakery and at Spectrum Video. She was a very caring woman and relished spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and baking before her health did not allow her to do it anymore. Her cats, Rocky and Ren were her pride and joy.

She is survived by three children, Brandie (Joe) Boebel, Jeff (Caitlin) Davis and Jeremy Goetz; eight grandchildren, Robbie (Joy) Davis, Braden Davis, Ashley Goetz (Fernando), Jake (Cheyanne) Goetz, Cody Boebel, Colby (Cheryl) Boebel, Caden (Joslynne) Boebel, and Jaxon Davis; two great-grandchildren, Palmer and Remy; and a brother, Jeff Palmer.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Rex C. Snyder; parents; and brother, Jack Palmer.
