Louise McDaniel, 96, of Bellville passed away Monday morning, July 20, 2026 at Lexington Court Care Center following an extended illness.
The daughter of Clarence and Garnett (Jordan) Gillam Louise was born July 11, 1930 in Grahn, Kentucky. As a young teenager she moved to Mansfield, Ohio.
She loved to tend to her flower and vegetable gardens, and kept her lawn in pristine condition. Louise loved to cheer for her grandchildren and great grandchildren at their sporting events and band performances.
She is survived by her daughter Sabrina (Rick) Walker of Bellville; grandchildren Wendy (Eric) Johnson and Keith Richard (Brittany) Phillips; great grandchildren Taylor, Ashley, Abbey, and Keith Wyatt; great-great grandchildren Brooks, Emelia, and Kacey; her brothers Jim and Larry Gillam; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and a special niece Phyllis Carey.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers Earl and Woody Gillam.
The McDaniel family will receive friends Friday, July 24, 2026 from 4-7 pm in the Snyder Funeral Homes Bellville/Butler Chapel and visitation will continue Saturday from 9 am-10 am. Funeral services will begin at 10 am and burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
Her family would like to extend a special thank you to her Lexington Court residents who also became dear friends, the staff at Lexington Court and the Hospice team of Southern Care Hospice for all of the attentive and loving care given to Louise.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association.
