Mark R. Harney, 26, of Mansfield, died unexpectedly from a medical condition on Monday, April 24, 2017 at his home.
Mark was born in Mt. Gilead on Sept. 8, 1990 to Mark A. Harney and Jodi M. Lewis.
Mark enjoyed music and was always very positive. He was such a fun loving person who never met a stranger. So many people loved him for his sense of humor, but also loved his ornery side. Mark enjoyed reading, sports and buying new clothes. He adored his children and entire family.
He is survived by his mother Jodi M. Lewis, Marion, his father and step-mother, Mark A. and Dondi Harney, of Mansfield, his children, Destiny Marie Michelle Harney, Houston Harney, Brielle Elise Harney, his girlfriend, Cierra Anderson, of Mansfield, his siblings; Bobbe Wetzel, of Shelby, Jeremiah Carroll, of Mansfield, Michael Williams, of Columbus, Sarah Williams, of Columbus, Jamie Smith, Arizona, his maternal grandparents, Diane Pearson, of Shelby, Joann Bland, of Shelby, paternal grandparents; Margaret “Penny” Harney, of Crestline, Carol Bryant, of Crestline, uncles, Andrew (Sandy) Lewis, Richard Lewis, Jay Jacuzzi, Martin Harney, Adam (Kathy) Harney, aunt, Regina Birmingham, cousins, Dalton, Holden, Dylan, Devin, Morgan, Chloe, Sammi and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many other friends who he loved as his family.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Jim Pearson, Richard Bland, his paternal grandparent; James Harney, and his uncle, Thomas Gibson.
Friends may call Sunday, April 30 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 West Main St., Crestline. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 1, at Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, Crestline, with Pastor Diana Seaman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline.
