Frances “Fran” Lee Householder, 77, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at JAG Healthcare in Marion. She was born on April 24, 1949, in Cawood, Kentucky, to the late Lewis and Evalene (Gailey) Ringley.
Fran graduated from Galion High School in 1967. Following her graduation, she was employed at ConAgra and later worked at Drug Mart.
She married the love of her life, John Householder Jr., on June 24, 1972. Together they shared many years of marriage filled with love, devotion, and cherished memories until his passing on September 12, 2020.
Fran was fiercely independent and outgoing, living life with a spirited “her way or no way” attitude that became one of her most endearing qualities. She approached life with determination, confidence, and a sense of humor that left a lasting impression on those around her.
She found great joy outdoors and spent many happy hours tending to her gardens and enjoying nature’s beauty. Whether working outside or simply appreciating the changing seasons, she was happiest when surrounded by the things she loved.
Fran also enjoyed attending auctions, where she delighted in searching for unique treasures and visiting with friends and neighbors. She loved music and especially enjoyed karaoke, never passing up an opportunity to sing and have a good time. She also had a special fondness for poodles and lovingly owned several throughout her life.
Her strong will, vibrant personality, and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures will be remembered and cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish Fran’s memory are her sister, Helen Farley of Galion; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, John, Fran was preceded in death by her siblings, James Ringley and Jewel Hart.
Fran will be laid to rest at Mansfield Memorial Park.
