Iva “Jane” (Mahana) Smith, 69, of Mansfield, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017.
Jane was born on Sept. 20, 1947, in Doddridge County, West Virginia, to Wanda Lee (Mahana) Smith. She had been employed through the years as a semi-truck driver, a Greyhound Bus Driver, and a bar maid.
She was a loving and stubborn mother, who fought many health battles to the very end. She loved collecting butterflies, and her pet, Tank. She loved to drink her Coke Cola, and her hobby was playing spades on the computer.
She is survived by her daughter, Juanita Debo, her son and daughter- in-law of love, William Debo II. and Ronda “Blankenship” Utter, her daughter and son-in-law, Teresa Sue “Rodock” Grant and Kevin R. Grant Sr., and her son, Eric Michael Rodock; her grandson and daughter-in-law of love, Dante Debo and Casey Miller, her grandson and granddaughter-in-law, William Debo III and Rina “Ishituska” Debo, her granddaughter and daughter-in-law of love, Alexis Bush and Nichole Sawdy, her step-grandson and fiancée, Kevin Grant Jr. and Becky Smith, her step-grandson and fiancée Ryan Grant and Cassandra Hamilton, her grandson of love, Trevor Utter, and her granddaughter of love, Kelsea Utter; great-grandson, Devante Debo, great-grandson, Darrius Debo, great-granddaughter, Leanna` Debo, great-grandson, Trent Grant, great-granddaughter, Chloe Grant, great-granddaughter, Aiden Grant, great-granddaughter, Adylan Carver, great-granddaughter, Addison Stephens, great-grandson, Aiden Debo, and great-grandson, Konta Ishituska; fiancé Stevenson Williams; and great friendships, Harold and Bonnie Stroup, Vanessa Stroup, Wally and Tandy Myer, Corrine and Frank Scott, Patricia McDowell Keith, Stephen H. Rolle, Berry and Brenda Lawrence, Sandra Thompson, Marcia Travis, Ashley Arbogast, and Sarah Sparks.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Smith Dillion; her step-father, Rudy Dillion; her granddaughter, Jessica Jane Debo, and her pet, Jack.
Jane requested that there be a private service with only immediate family and a few close friends. Werner Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, is handling the arrangements.
