MADISON TOWNSHIP — A church kitchen, a leap of faith and a dream that grew by word of mouth have led Immeasurably More Event Catering to its first permanent home.

Immeasurably More Event Catering will open its location at 1026 Lucas Road, a milestone owner Jessica Sprague said marks the next chapter for the growing business.

“It’s a really exciting milestone for us,” Sprague said. “We’ve been operating Immeasurably More Event Catering out of a rented commercial kitchen for the past few years.”

Looking back, I truly believe God was revealing a gift in me that I didn’t know I possessed.

She said they are still working through the planning and approval process for the property.

From church kitchen to catering company

Immeasurably More Event Catering began through serving at Sprague’s church.

A single opportunity in 2023 quickly expanded through word of mouth and referrals.

She said her pastor recognized a need for quality catering in the area and encouraged her to pursue the business more seriously.

“Looking back, I truly believe God was revealing a gift in me that I didn’t know I possessed,” Sprague said.

The search for a permanent location centered on family as much as business growth. Because the company operated out of a rented commercial kitchen, Sprague’s children could not be there with the family while they worked.

“We wanted a place where our family could be together while building the business,” she said.

When the family saw the building on Lucas Road, they immediately recognized its potential. Sprague said the location, layout and existing restaurant setup made it a natural fit.

She said they especially liked the drive-thru, which will make loading and unloading the catering van easier, and the building sits just minutes from the family’s home.

Sprague said the most rewarding part has been watching opportunities unfold in ways her family never planned.

“From the very beginning, I have watched God open door after door. Opportunities appeared that we never could have planned for ourselves,” she added. “And now, even this building feels like another example of God’s provision.”

“There have been so many moments where I’ve simply stood back in awe of what He has done. He gets all the glory in this story,” she said.

More than charcuterie

Immeasurably More Event Catering has built a reputation for its grazing tables and charcuterie displays, but the company offers much more.

The business provides catering for weddings, corporate events, fundraisers, celebrations of life and private parties. Customers can also order brunch spreads, boxed lunches, buffet meals, dessert shooters, drop-off platters and interactive food stations such as Mac-tini and Mash-tini bars.

“We’re always dreaming up new ideas and offerings, and with our new location we’re excited to have even more opportunities to grow and serve our community.”

She noted whether it’s a wedding, baby shower or holiday party, they enjoy creating displays that are not only delicious but beautiful and unique to the occasion.

“One thing that really sets us apart is that we love styling our spreads to match the theme, colors and feel of each event,” Sprague said.

The building will serve as the company’s headquarters, providing kitchen space, storage and offices while creating room for new offerings in the future. Customers will also be able to pick up prepared platters, boxed lunches and catering orders directly from the location.

For Sprague, the business name carries deep meaning.

The name comes from Ephesians 3:20, a verse about God doing immeasurably more than people can ask or imagine. Sprague said the verse has become the story of their business.

“God took something I never imagined for myself and turned it into a ministry, a business and a way to serve others,” she said. “Every opportunity, every event and every milestone has been a reminder of His faithfulness.”

Sprague said her husband, Chuck, along with her parents and sisters, have supported the business since the beginning.

“I am so grateful for the family He [God] has surrounded me with and the role they’ve played in this journey,” she said.

“We’re excited about what this space will allow us to do moving forward,” she said. “Having a space to call our own is very special to us, we feel incredibly blessed and are excited to take this next step.”
