Frances Marie Wojahn of Mansfield passed away Friday, May 8, 2026, just one day short of her 74th birthday, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.
She was born May 9, 1952, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Eleanor Marie (Valentine) and Eugene Garland Patton. Frances grew up in a large family, which taught her the true value of love, connection, and cherishing every family member. Frances never failed to stop at a garage sale or thrift store, looking for that bargain she just had to have.
If you were traveling with her, you were sure to have to make a stop or two along the way. She had a generous heart filled with unconditional love, always putting her family first. She was deeply loved by her family and many dear friends. Frances was honest and you knew where you stood with her. A devoted mother to her daughters, loving grandmother and great-grandmother, Frances leaves behind an enduring legacy of love and kindness.
Frances is survived by four brothers, Jim, Kevin, Philip, and Larry; three sisters, Kim, Phyllis, and Linda; daughters, Stephanie (Matt), Tausha, Misttie (Sam), and Rickie (Nate); seventeen grandchildren, Tiffanie, Shianne, Megan, Morgan, Brandon, Micheal, Shayleah (John), Matt (Kyah), Trent (Hannah), Kaleb (Ella), Paige (Mator), Hannah, Lilly, Sophie, JJ (Cassy), Nick (Alissa), Desiree (Zach); and twenty-one great-grandchildren, Dallas, Roczen, Kaizleigh, Bentley, Daisy-Mae, Trenton Jr., Beau, Rosie, Ivy, Forrest, Hazel, Leland, Ember, Brantley, Rowen, Kayus, Renley, Jolena, John, Waverly, and Sawyer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Edwin and Roger; soulmate, Chester Taylor; daughter, Rhonda; grandson, Travis; and “Pop” Homer Pruett.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at North Woodbury Alliance Church, 6385 OH-314, Mount Gilead, Ohio, 43338. The funeral service conducted by Pastor Corey Schnuer will immediately follow at 12:00 pm. She will be laid to rest in Shauck Cemetery, Johnsville, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made in care of North Woodbury Alliance Church.
