The News Man Weekly Podcast is brought to you by our friends at Relax, It’s Just Coffee!

MANSFIELD — A tired Carl Hunnell is an even grumpier Carl Hunnell … if that’s possible.
Fresh off a run of shows at the Mansfield Playhouse, the badly aging host of the News Man Weekly podcast jumps on his soapbox this week. It’s episode No. 95 and he rails at eligible voters in Richland County who do not participate in elections.
There is a primary election coming up May 5 and it’s clear our host wants people to cast ballots. As he so less-than-eloquently put it — “Put up or shut up.”
Following his rant, this week’s “News of the Week” segment dives deeper into the planned $10 million redevelopment of a downtown hotel in Mansfield.
Other news includes a 22-year-old Mansfield man charged with felony vandalism after driving onto the basketball courts at Liberty Park and a reminder Mansfield Mayor Jodie Perry’s “State of the City” presentation Tuesday night (April 28) will take place this year in a Q&A format with the News Man himself.
The episode wraps up with a parks conversation between Hunnell and a trio of city of Mansfield representatives — Public Works Director Louis Andres, Parks Supt. Mike Woogerd and parks recreation specialist Cortney Freshwater — join the show to talk all things city parks, as well as what activities local residents and youth can expect this summer.
This episode, as always, is powered by the great folks at Relax, It’s Just Coffee.
