Clara Pryor, 93, of Mansfield, Ohio got her wings on April 12,2026. Clara was the daughter of John and Ethel Shoup. She attended Union High School where she made lifelong friends with the Henry’s, Joan Remy and her best friend, Joan Kirsch.

She was an active member at Pavonia/Olivesburg Church and the Sunshine Sisters. Clara was a Cub Scout leader for her boys. Active in the American Red Cross where she was a First Aid and Water Safety Instructor, Clara became an LPN and Respiratory Therapist, working at the hospital and as a home health care nurse. Clara taught Emergency First Aid at North Central College, the job she loved the most.

Clara will be fondly remembered as the queen of Easter Egg Hiding, Jewelry Collecting, junk shop scouring and Beef and Noodles.

Proceeded in arriving at heaven’s gate by her parents; her husband, Roeliff G Pryor; sons, Brion Pryor and Mark Pryor; siblings, Mildred, Walter, Jack, and Susie, and great granddaughter, Ashlyn.

She is survived by her four children: Brenda (Jerry) Greer, Jeff (Mary) Pryor, Joe (Sheila) Pryor, Denise Pryor Sqrow, partner and adopted son, Larry Morton, 20 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and one expected in July.

Friends and family are invited to visitation on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield, OH 44902. The funeral will be on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pavonia Cemetery.
