Wilma Christine (Gerhardt) Wilson of Scottsdale, Arizona, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 15, 2026, at Colter Luxury Assisted Living in Phoenix, Arizona, She had two established homes, one in the Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona, and one in Mansfield, Ohio. She was 94 years old.
She was born on August 25, 1931, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late John and Christine (Heckel) Gerhardt, and re-born on September 29, 1964. She graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1949. She attended the Ontario Christian Fellowship Church.
Wilma married David Wilson in 1952 and was a military wife for twenty-eight years. Their travels took them to Okinawa, Germany and Thailand. She was very active in teaching Sunday School, Bible School, and at the military chapels. Wilma’s hobbies included: sewing, creating oil paintings, and she was an avid reader.
Wilma leaves to mourn her passing a daughter, Sue (Steve) Boyer; son, Tim (Sue) Wilson; and six grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Wilson in 1997; daughter, Debra Rothwell; an infant daughter; and two brothers, Donald (Elsie) and Edward (Martha) Gerhardt.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 11:00 am in Mansfield Memorial Park, 2507 Park Avenue West, Ontario. Her son, Tim Wilson, will conduct the service.
