Loudonville, Oh – the Mohican Trail Jamboree is happening! The Mohican Malabar Bike Club invites you to take a guided joy ride with the club on April 19, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. and enjoy the beautiful mountain bike trails throughout the Mohican State Park and Forest.
The Mohican Trail Jamboree is a way to share the natural beauty of Mohican State Park and Forest and to educate cyclists about the misconception that the state maintains the trails throughout the park and forest. Park and Forestry Divisions of ODNR provide support, but in reality, the Mohican Malabar Bike club members and other volunteers keep these trails clear and ridable for everyone. The club is looking for others who would be interested in joining the organization and their enthusiasm for maintaining these beautiful trails and future rides. The event is by donation and the funds raised will be used to purchase supplies, tools, signs and other equipment to maintain the trail system.
The Jamboree route will have several aid stations with snacks and water. There will also be several different distances (ranging 5.3 to 25 miles) you may choose from. There will be a sag available as well as several bail out points. Shuttles to the staging area will be available.”
The event is sponsored by the Ashland Bike Co, All Out Nutrition, Trails End Pizza and Y-Not Cycling and Fitness. Participants can register for the event at BikeReg.com or the day of the event. The ride will begin at the mountain bike parking lot across from the main entrance of the state park class-A campground on State Route 3 in Loudonville. Pizza from Trail’s End and refreshments will be provided at the end of the ride and t-shirts may be purchased.
