Thomas Richard Newcomer, age 61, of Dublin, Ohio, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2026 in Columbus, Ohio following injuries sustained in a tragic accident. Thomas was born on January 24, 1965 in Mansfield, Ohio to his father, Richard Newcomer, who has passed away, and his mother, Patricia Newcomer, who survives.
He was an avid athlete, having completed four Ironman races, multiple marathons, and biathlons. While studying at The Ohio State University, Thomas was a proud member of the famous Ohio State University Marching Band. Being an alumni of both The Ohio State University and the Buckeye Marching Band, he cherished that time in his life and the lifelong memories he carried with him.
Thomas will be fondly remembered by his mother, Patricia Newcomer; his sister, Julie Newcomer; his brother, James (Tish) Newcomer. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Blake, Ava and Hank Newcomer.
A service honoring Tom’s life will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, 41 Bowman Street, Mansfield, Ohio.
A reception will immediately follow at the church, concluding at 1:00 p.m.
