Sarah “Buggs” Ann Kirk, affectionately known as “Buggs,” a cherished nickname given to her by her daddy, passed away peacefully at Avita Ontario on Monday, October 26, 2026.
Sarah was born on December 31, 1940, in Ashland, Kentucky, to Frank and Bessie (Nolan) Bellomy. She moved to the area in 1953, where she made her home and built a life centered on faith, love, generosity, and family.
A deeply religious woman, Sarah’s faith was a guiding force throughout her life. She believed in putting family first and lived that principle every day. Her family was her greatest priority, and she devoted herself wholeheartedly to caring for those she loved. She had a special gift for making others feel welcomed, comforted, and cared for, always willing to lend a helping hand or offer a kind word. Her generous heart and loving spirit touched the lives of so many, and she gave freely of herself without ever expecting anything in return.
Sarah was an amazing homemaker who took great pride in caring for her home and family. Her home was always spotless, her ironing was impeccable, and her cooking was second to none. She showed her love through the countless little things she did each day, creating a warm and welcoming home where family was always at the center of everything. To Sarah, caring for others was more than something she did; it was simply who she was.
In her quieter moments, Sarah enjoyed working on puzzles, word searches, and dot-to-dot activities. These simple pleasures brought her enjoyment and reflected her appreciation for the little things in life.
Above all, Sarah will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her selfless love, her generous nature, and her steadfast devotion to family. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and the enduring reminder that family always comes first. The love she gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Though she will be deeply missed, the memories of her loving care, her wonderful home, her delicious meals, and the special nickname “Buggs” will forever bring comfort and warmth to those who loved her.
She leaves behind her husband of 62 years, Larry Kirk; her daughters, Wanda (Richard) Stephens and Rhonda (Joseph Karl) Kirk; her grandchildren, John Taylor and Sarah (Ryan) Reed; three great-grandchildren, Bently and Eli Taylor and Lily Reed; her nephews and niece, Rod Tabor, Marty (Toni) Swindall, Charlene (Dennis) Elkins; and many great nieces, great nephews, and other family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Gail, Wanda, Marvin, Bobby, Anna Mary, Linda, and Daisy; many other nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit from 10:00-11:00 am on Monday, November 2, 2026, at Wappner Funeral Directors and Crematory-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Road. Rev.
