Herman Lewis “Louie” Gwin passed away on October 17, 2026, at the age of 59. Born on June 9, 1967, Louie was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who brought warmth and connection to those around him.
An avid outdoorsman, Louie found great joy in the freedom of riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, and embracing all outdoor activities. He had a deep passion for music, frequently spending his time attending concerts and festivals and listening to his favorite tunes. Above all, Louie loved to tell a good story, sharing his experiences and laughter with everyone he met.
Louie is survived by his loving mother, Nancy Welling; his sister, Becky Perrine; his children, Blake Gwin and Crystal Gwin; and his daughter-in-law, Abigail Gwin. He was a proud grandfather to Grace Gwin, Chloe Gwin, Aria Gwin, Charles Vansickle, and Aiden Gwin. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, William Gwin IV, Cory Gwin, Kashmir Campbell, Kenny Scott, and Manda Blanton.
He is reunited in peace with his family members who preceded him in death: his father, William Gwin the 2nd; his sister, Suzanne Gwin; his brother, William Gwin the 3rd; and his beloved son, Syd Gwin.
Louie’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him.
No formal services will be observed.
