Although I haven’t lived in Richland County for nearly 10 years, Mansfield will always feel like home.
After 30 years there, I still return regularly for family, friends, and my work in the County offices. I continue to care deeply about this community and its future.
This is why I want to share a few thoughts about my longtime friend, Robert Franco.
Robert and I met in college over 30 years ago. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of calling him a true friend, working for him, and working alongside him. I’ve watched him become a successful business owner, respected attorney, and, more importantly, a husband and father I genuinely admire.
Through it all, his character has never changed.
Robert treats everyone with genuine kindness, dignity, and respect, regardless of their circumstances. His compassion is especially meaningful in Probate Court, where families often face some of life’s most difficult and emotional moments.
He’s also one of the most intelligent and determined people I’ve known. Robert doesn’t settle for “good enough.” He researches, considers every angle, and gives his best to whatever he undertakes. I’ve personally relied on his legal knowledge countless times and have always appreciated his dedication to getting things right.
But beyond his accomplishments, it’s the man I’ve known through more than three decades of friendship who has earned my admiration and respect.
I believe Robert possesses the intelligence, integrity, diligence, and compassion to make an exceptional Probate Judge.
Regardless of this election’s outcome, he’ll continue to be a blessing to those whose lives he touches. He’s certainly been one in mine.
Richland County would be fortunate to have him on the bench.
