Clark Hertzler, age 75 of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 9, 2026, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. Born April 4, 1951, in Mansfield, Ohio, Clark was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and cherished friend. He will be remembered for his love of family, his strong work ethic, his willingness to lend a hand, and the joy he found in life’s simple pleasures.
Clark married the love of his life, Pam, on February 9, 1974. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around faith, family, love, and lasting memories.
Clark worked as a manufacturing rep in the commercial roofing industry for many years, and after his retirement, he began working part time for Perry Township.
Above all else, Clark treasured his family. He took great pride in being a husband, father, and grandfather. He was affectionately known as “Dad” and “Pop,” titles he wore with great pride. Nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with his children and grandchildren, especially watching his grandchildren participate in their sports and activities. Whether cheering from the sidelines or simply enjoying time together, Clark was always one of their biggest supporters.
Clark was a man who enjoyed staying busy and took pride in a job well done. He could often be found working on a home improvement project, whether at his own house or helping one of his daughters with theirs. He took great pride in caring for his home and property, always making sure everything was just right. His willingness to help others and his dedication to his family were just a few of the many ways he showed his love.
Clark also had a passion for golf. An avid golfer, he enjoyed spending time on the course with his golfing buddies. The friendships, laughter, and memories made on the golf course were something he truly treasured. He will be deeply missed by those who shared his love of the game.
Clark leaves behind his loving wife, Pam Hertzler; his daughters, Allison Schuster and her husband, Rob, and Trisha Martin and her husband, Andrew; and his beloved grandchildren, Braden, Lane, Cooper, Carter, Kenton, and Kennedy.
He is also survived by his special uncle, Larry Pugh, and his wife, Joy; his extended family, including Tom and Kasey McNeely, Billie Sue and Charlie Reiheld, Chris Parkison, and Greg and Shelly McNeely; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Clark was preceded in death by his parents, Denny and Elaine Hertzler; his brother, Terry Hertzler; his father- and mother-in-law, Les and Janie McNeely; and his brother-in-law Charlie Parkison.
Clark’s legacy is one of love, dedication, hard work, and family. He showed his love not only through words but through his actions – by showing up, lending a hand, cheering from the sidelines, and being present for the people who mattered most.
While he will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His greatest accomplishment was not something he built or owned, but the family he loved so dearly.
Forever loved, always remembered, and deeply missed.
Per Clark’s wishes, no formal services will be observed.
