DiAnna Kay White, cherished for her warmth and spirited dedication to family and community, passed away peacefully at age 80 on October 8, 2026, at Primrose Retirement Community of Mansfield, Ohio.
Born on May 10, 1946, in Shelby, Ohio, to the late Reginald and Betty (Valk) Fellows, DiAnna remained forever loyal to her hometown. A Shelby High School graduate, she embraced her English heritage, but her heart was always in Shelby.
Throughout her life, DiAnna’s vibrant spirit touched many, whether through her work at Caring for You Home Care, Target, and at White’s Tax and Consulting with her beloved husband, Jack. At First Lutheran Church, her voice was a beloved addition to the choir. Even in her later years, she found joy in dancing all the way until her final days, gardening, and her whimsical panda decorations. She shared countless cherished moments at the bowling alley and playing Bingo with her mother.
A devoted sports fan, DiAnna’s passion for the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Atlanta Braves was rivaled only by her pride in her children’s wrestling achievements and F.F.A. activities. She relished every opportunity for a game of Frisbee or kickball with her grandchildren and was their biggest supporter in Cross Country and Volleyball. Her legacy is deeply rooted in her unwavering support of Shelby’s sporting and community events.
DiAnna leaves behind a loving family to celebrate her memory: sons Brent (Rachel) White of Mt. Gilead, Ohio, and Mark White of Pemberville, Ohio; grandchildren Baylee Klopfenstein, A.J. White, B.J. (Izzy) White, and Allie White; great-grandchild Millie Stiers; and nieces, nephews, and relatives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jack, whom she wed on June 12, 1965 and infant brother Larry Fellows, DiAnna’s enduring love and laughter remain.
Family and friends are invited to honor DiAnna’s life on Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory, with a funeral service to follow on Monday, October 12, 2026, at 11:00 AM, officiated by Dr. Reverend Russel Yoak, and interment at Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
