Starr Nicole Perman, 34, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away September 29, 2026 at home surrounded by her loved ones, following a battle with cancer.
She was born on December 5, 1991 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Dorothy and Jonathan Ward. She was a homemaker.
Starr will mostly be remembered for her love and care of her daughter Jayla, and her love for her family and friends. She had such an infectious giggle, and she loved doing hair and nails.
She is survived by her fiancé, Zach and her children, Jayla Kaye-Marie, Nathan, Anthony, Markus and Kamden Wallen; her brother, Les Dillon; sisters, Crystal (Wayne) Braxton, Amanda (Brandon) Baker and Brittany Van Driest; Aunts, Liz (Rick) Pierce and Rhonda (Gene) McCord and multiple aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; her Momma Dorothy, Diane Moleno, her Daddy’O, Bobby Newcomer and special friends Kaylein Lewis, Haylee Whyel, Brandon Gilbert and Jess Arnold.
She was preceded in death by her dad, John Ward; grandmothers, LaVerne Ward and Kaye Beck; aunt, Linda Hughes; grandfathers, Chester Ward and Homer Dillon, and her faithful companion, her dog Roxxie.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Southern Care Hospice of Ontario for the care they provided Starr.
A celebration of Starr’s life will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2026 at the Eagles Club, 129 North Main St. in Mansfield, Ohio at 1 PM.
