Elaine C. Crytzer, of Loudonville, passed away on September 7, 2026 after a period of declining health. She was 81.
She was born in Kittanning, Pennsylvania to the late William J. and Evelyn B. (Rearick) Crytzer.
Elaine dedicated many years of her life to caring for others as a licensed practical nurse in Cumberland, Maryland. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she loved Jesus and singing in the church choir. She also cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren, who brought her so much joy. An avid reader, Elaine enjoyed a good book, but perhaps her greatest gift was her ability to connect with others. Elaine never met a stranger. She could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere, and seemed to make friends wherever she went. Her warm personality and genuine interest in others left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Elaine is deeply loved by her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Above all, she would want everyone to remember one simple but powerful message: Jesus loves you!
She is survived by her loving son Steven (Chassie) Crytzer, grandchildren Alyssa (Ryan) Pool and Seth Crytzer, great-grandchild Finn Pool, one sister, two brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Elaine is preceded in death by a sister, two brothers, a nephew, and a niece.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on October 17, 2026 in Kittanning, Pennsylvania.
