David Randall Rupe, 63, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026, at his residence. He was born on April 1, 1963, in Galion, Ohio, to the late Norman and Mary (Robbins) Rupe.
He graduated from Lexington High School with the Class of 1982 and went on to enjoy a 31-year career as a truck driver.
David married his beloved wife, Lisa (McIe) Rupe, on July 3, 1997. They shared many cherished years together until her passing on August 20, 2018.
David enjoyed following Ohio State football and cheering on the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers. He also enjoyed fishing at Clearfork Reservoir and sharing meals at Hong Kong Buffet.
Above all, David treasured the time he spent with his family and friends, creating memories that will be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish David’s memory are his close family friend, Lisa (Brian Grimwood of Bucyrus) Sullivan of Galion; his siblings, Cindy (Jeff) Shipman and Buddy Rupe; along with numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, foster children, and friends.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his stepmother, Mary (Mansfield) Rupe; his brother, Norman “Paul” Rupe Jr.; and his grandparents, Paul Rupe Sr. and Edna Rupe.
