Latrina Annette (Woods) Bond age 53, of Mansfield, OH, passed away in Columbus, OH on Sunday, September 20, 2026. She was born October 28, 1972, in Decatur, Illinois to Robert Lee and Cora Lee (Herron) Woods.
She was a graduate of Douglas MacArthur High School and earned her associate’s degree in accounting from Richland Community College in Illinois. She enjoyed cooking and loved Christian music. She grew up in the church and had a deep love for the Lord and for serving others. Her home church was Christ Tabernacle with Pastor Kelly Wilson. Throughout her life she was active in the church, and she faithfully served as an Adult Choir Director, Praise Team Soloist, and Sunday School Teacher. She was an amazing singer, and sharing her gift of music was one of the ways she expressed her love for the Lord and those around her.
On May 11, 1996, Latrina married the love of her life, Samuel. Together, they built a loving family. She cherished her family deeply and devoted herself to raising her two children as a stay-at-home mom, even while facing the challenges of illness. Her strength, love, faith, and dedication to her family were an inspiration to everyone who knew her.
She moved to Milwaukee in 2001 to work at Archers Daniels Midland and moved back to Decatur in 2011 and then to Mansfield in May of 2024.
Latrina is survived by her husband, Samuel; children, Christian Samara Bond and Ashley Alexis Bond; and siblings, Robert “Boe” Woods, Lynne King, Sharon (Kenneth) Wallace, and Corey (Gala) Woods.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sibling, Craig Woods; and brother-in-law, Arthur “Art” King.
Family and friends are invited to visitation on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield, OH 44902. The service funeral will follow at 11:00AM. Latrina will be buried at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh.
