MANSFIELD — Mayor Jodie A. Perry has announced that citywide Trick-or-Treat is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Residents who wish to participate in Trick-or-Treat are asked to turn on their porch lights between 5 and 7 p.m.
“We also want to remind everyone that young children will be out walking throughout the community during this time,” the mayor said. “Please use extra caution when driving and watch carefully for pedestrians.”
Safety recommendations
Here are some trick-or-treat safety recommendations:
- First and foremost, participation is voluntary. You do not have to participate if you do not wish to or if you do not feel safe.
- Do not participate if you or your child feels sick or is at increased risk of complications due to an underlying medical condition or compromised immune system.
- Avoid rubber or plastic costume masks that may make it difficult to see or breathe.
- Trick-or-Treat only during the times designated by local authorities.
- Trick-or-Treat in small groups.
- Stay within your own neighborhood whenever possible.
- Accept only commercially wrapped candy or treats and examine all treats before eating
them.
Trick-or-Treat is a wonderful opportunity for our neighborhoods and the community to come together and create a fun, safe environment for children and families to celebrate Halloween.
