Curtis Allen Carter, of Mansfield, Ohio, was born on November 12, 1950, to Fannie Mae Carter and John Grover Carter. He departed this life on September 6, 2026, in Ashland, Ohio.

Curtis was raised in the Mansfield area and graduated from Madison High School in Mansfield, Ohio. Throughout his life, Curtis had a love for music, which remained a source of enjoyment for him over the years.

Curtis worked as a manager at a BP gas station and later drove trucks for RC Cola. He took pride in his work and the relationships he built throughout his career.

Curtis leaves behind his sons, Curtis Carter Jr. and Maurice Jefferson; his brother, Michael Carter; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

As Curtis’s life comes to a close, those who knew him are left with their own experiences, reflections, and memories of the years he lived.

The family extends sincere appreciation to all those who provided care, assistance, and support to Curtis during the later years of his life. Your kindness and care are gratefully acknowledged.
