MANSFIELD — The Music Academy of Karate and Empowerment (MAKE) celebrated the accomplishments of several students during a belt promotion on Saturday, Sept. 5.

The promotion test was conducted by Assistant Chief Instructor Amber Bogner and Senior Instructor Nate Meiers while Sensei Reneta Music was away on vacation.

Their leadership gave the students an opportunity to demonstrate the skills, discipline and perseverance they have developed through their training.

Kayden Harriss earned his red belt, Lucas Keinath received his purple belt and Ryland Mateo, a student in MAKE’s 4- and 5-year-old class, earned his yellow belt.

Lucas Keinath was also named Student of the Month for demonstrating integrity. Lucas has made incredible improvements both inside and outside the dojo, showing that the lessons learned through karate reach far beyond physical skills.

MAKE is proud of each student for their hard work and continued growth. Their achievements reflect the academy’s commitment to helping students strengthen their minds, bodies and character through karate.

MAKE’s next belt promotion will take place Saturday, Oct. 3, as the academy celebrates its two-year anniversary.

The public is invited to attend from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be door prizes, free popcorn and water. Come join us and see what our academy is all about.
