Frank Patrick Basilone, Jr. better known as “Jeep”, passed away Monday, September 7, 2026 in Lexington Court Care Center at the age of 75. Frank was born on November 10, 1950 in Sandusky, Ohio to the late Frank Basilone, Sr. and Myrtle Petersen Basilone.

Frank was a 1970 graduate of Sandusky High School. Known locally as a standout football player, he went on to play college football at Defiance College in Ohio and Waldorf Jr. College in Forest City, Iowa. Professionally, Frank was in sales having worked for a local bread company, a pest control company, 7-UP and Cotton Club selling R.C. Cola.

An avid sports fan, Frank loved watching all types of games especially football. In his younger years he loved to fish and spend time outdoors. In more recent years he found joy in relaxing at home, spending time with his grandchildren and attending their activities. He loved playing the lottery and sitting on his front porch. Frank had many dogs over the years but they weren’t just pets to him, he treated them all like family.

Frank will be fondly remembered by his loving wife of 50 years, Natalie “Lee” Basilone; his children, Matthew (Tiffany) Basilone and Bradlee (Alison) Basilone; his siblings, Mike (Sally) Basilone, Tony Basilone and Scott (Kelli) Basilone; his grandchildren, Chloe (Collin) Berg, Madison Basilone, Chance Basilone, Naudia (Josh) Kegley, AJ Basilone, Braxten Basilone, Brynlee Basilone, Brekken Basilone, Brileigh Basilone; his great-grandchildren, Henry Berg and Elianna Kegley. He also leaves behind several extended family members and a host of friends.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his sister, Anita McElfresh; his grandchildren, Abriana Basilone and Baby G Basilone; his nephew, Mark Basilone; his father-in-law, Horace Mosser; and his sister-in-law, Patti Basilone.

The family will greet friends from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 13, 2026 in the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where Frank’s memorial service will immediately follow. His brother, Scott Basilone will speak.
