JoAnn Perkins Squires, 77, of Mansfield, passed away on September 2, 2026, after a two year battle with cancer.

Born in Swords Creek, Virginia, to the late Euel and Idinia (Brown) Perkins, she was a 1967 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School.

Throughout her working years, JoAnn was employed by Dominion, Rollgate, Perolator, and DHL.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Charles “Bill” Squires. She also leaves behind three children, Tammy Squires of Mansfield, Teri (Bryan) Owens of Lexington, and Todd (Jennifer) Squires of Akron; her grandchildren, Ethan Asher, Zachary Cockran, Kaleigh Kerr, Connor and Savannah Squires; seven great-grandchildren; her siblings, Ronald Perkins, Bonnie Hoskins, Donnie (Felicia) Perkins, all of Mansfield; and one niece, Sherri Shade.

She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Arlene Viars, and her niece, Anita (Susie) Miller.
