Margaret Elaine (Schuller) Sharp, 79, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, at her home in Queensbury, NY. She left behind a legacy of helping others.

Elaine, or Nini as she became known to family, was born on October 1, 1946, in
Alliance, OH, to Annie Burt (Beatson) Schuller and Hugo Schuller.

She graduated from Alliance High School in 1964, attended Kent State University, and
completed a one-year secretarial certificate from Columbus Business University (CBU).

In her human resources career, she held positions as benefits coordinator, payroll,
transcriber clerk, and executive secretary to the plant manager. She started her HR
career at C.R. Bard and finished with the Adirondack Mountain Club.

Her mother instilled in her a love of music, and she played the flute from 5th grade all through middle school and high school including band and orchestra. In her adult life she turned her attention to cross-stitch embroidery, producing hundreds of high-quality examples for family and friends over the years.

As a single mom later in life, she raised her three boys in Queensbury and instilled in them the discipline and love they would need to be successful in life. In 2003, she moved to Mansfield, Ohio to be with her mother for her final decade of life. During her time in Mansfield, she was employed in the office at Shaffer Valve and then with the City of Mansfield as a transcriber clerk in the Police Department. In 2014, she returned to Queensbury to once again be closer to her sons and grandchildren.

She was active in Saint Andrew Lutheran Church of South Glens Falls as head
sacristan as financial secretary, a volunteer usher for the Glen Falls Symphony &
Community Theater performances, and a poll worker with the town and the county,
where she loved meeting and connecting with people.

She is predeceased by her parents. Survivors include three sons, Michael Edwin
(Katharine) Sharp of Breckenridge, CO; Roger Alan (Christine) Sharp of Saratoga, NY; and Steven Robert Sharp of Glens Falls, grandchildren Jaxon and Lilith Sharp; her sister, Patricia Anne Reiter of Grand Rapids, MI, and her brother, Richard Alan (Susan) Schuller of Mansfield, OH; and several nieces and nephews.

A private celebration of life is being planned in Mansfield, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Elaine’s name to Saint Andrew Lutheran Church, 600 Gansevoort Road, South Glens Falls, NY, 12803.
