Theodore “Ted” Daniel Lahm, 68, of Columbus, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at home. Born September 15, 1957, he was the son of the late Rev. Karl and Anna Lahm.

Ted was a loving brother and uncle who cared deeply about his family. He especially enjoyed family gatherings, with Thanksgiving being one of his favorite times of the year. He valued the time spent together and the memories made with those he loved. He had a deep love of music and took pride in his collection of CDs. He was a very bright and thoughtful person who enjoyed learning and being informed about what was happening in the world. He was passionate about history and closely followed world events and current affairs. Ted was also known for his generosity and willingness to help others. He shared what he could with those around him and was always willing to lend a hand. He was dearly loved by his neighbors and was an important part of his community.

He is survived by his siblings, Siegfried Lahm, Joan (Larry) Lahm Mills, Gunther (Linda) Lahm and Mathilde (Robert) Lahm Billheimer, nine nieces and five nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Karl Lahm and Irma Lahm Simon.

Ted will be remembered for his intelligence, generosity, love of music and history, and most of all, his love for his family.
