Barbara “Barb” Lynn Hill, 80, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. Born September 20, 1945, in Mansfield, she was the daughter of the late C. Milton and Margaret Priess.

Living in Mansfield all her life, she worked in healthcare since June 1962 and continued caring for others with compassion and dedication until her retirement from Dayspring in December 2009. She was a Registered Nurse for almost thirty years. She and her husband, Michael N. Hill III, graduated from N.C.T.C. in 1980 after attending from 1976 to 1980.

Barb was a woman of many interests and talents. She enjoyed gardening and was known for always having beautiful pots of flowers. She also loved scrapbooking and frequently made homemade greeting cards for her friends and family. Her creativity, thoughtfulness, and generosity touched many people around her.

She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church and cherished the friendships and connections she made throughout her life.

Barb is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Michael N. Hill III; son, Michael N. Hill IV (Carrie Rae), daughter, Amy E. Rasberry (Richard) and her grandchildren, Michael N. Hill V, Zayne Scott Hill, and Riley David Rasberry; her nieces and nephew, Cindy, Mindy, Michelle and Martin; and her sister, Melanie Irwin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Priess; sister, Beverly Kunkle; Kelli Irwin, spouse of sister Melanie; Agnes Priess, spouse of brother Donald; Lowell Kunkle, spouse of sister Beverly; mother and father-in-law, Thelma and Mike Hill and brother-in-law, David W. Hill.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Wappner Funeral Directors & Crematory-Mansfield at 11:00 A.M., officiated by Rev. Paul Lintern. Bural will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions in Barb’s honor may be made to the Lutheran Children’s Aid Society of Cleveland or Hope Lutheran Church.

The family would like to thank the caring staff of Avita and Hospice in Ontario and the staff of Wedgewood Assisted Living for their exceptional care of Barb.
