BRONSON TOWNSHIP — A 49-year-old Greenwich man died Monday night in a two-vehicle crash in Bronson Township, according to the Norwalk Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at 8:29 p.m. at the intersection of Peru Olena Road and Old State Road, according to troopers, in a rural area of Huron County about six miles south of Norwalk.

The patrol said Spencer Brotzki, 18, of Monroeville, was driving a 2012 Ford F-350 westbound on Peru Olena Road when he failed to stop at a posted stop sign.

His truck struck a southbound 2016 Dodge Ram 3500, driven by Timothy Williams of Greenwich, on the driver’s side. Williams was driving southbound on Old State Road, according to troopers.

Both vehicles went off the southwest corner of the intersection, where Williams’ truck hit two signposts, the patrol said.

Williams died from his injuries and was pronounced dead by the Huron County Coroner’s Office. North Central EMS transported Brotzki to Fisher-Titus Medical Center with minor injuries.

The intersection was closed during the initial investigation, but has since reopened.

The Huron County Sheriff’s Office, Norwalk Fire Department, North Central EMS, Huron County Coroner’s Office, Huron County Department of Transportation and Interstate Towing assisted at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation, troopers said.
