Jane Sesco, 68, of Bellville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of a family that meant everything to her.

Born May 21, 1958, to Francis and Kathleen Pittenger, Jane grew up in Shelby, Ohio. Throughout her life, she worked for Hi-Stat, Therm-O-Disc, and most recently Sanoh America before retiring in 2023.

While Jane took pride in being independent and hardworking, nothing in her life was more important to her than her family. She was loving, loyal, fiercely protective, and always in the corner of the people she loved. Whether someone needed support, someone to look after them, or simply the comfort of knowing she was there, her family could always count on Jane.

Jane shared 48 years of marriage with her husband, Charles Sesco. Her love and devotion to Charles were perhaps most profoundly demonstrated when she donated one of her kidneys to him—a remarkable act that reflected the selflessness and loyalty with which she loved her family.

Some of Jane’s greatest happiness came from simply being with her grandchildren. She treasured spending time and shopping with her granddaughter Ashlyn and loved every opportunity she had to be with Ashlyn, Liam, and Kinsley. Being a grandmother brought her tremendous joy.

Those who knew Jane will remember her independence, her devotion to those she loved, and especially her smile—a smile that could light up a room. She didn’t need anything elaborate to be happy. Being surrounded by her husband, children, and grandchildren was where she wanted to be.

Jane is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Charles Sesco; her sons, Jason (Heather) Sesco and Jeremy (Ashley) Sesco; and her grandchildren, Ashlyn Sesco, Liam Sesco, and Kinsley Sesco.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Kathleen Pittenger; her brother, Hugh Pittenger; and her sister, Toni Bertke.

Jane leaves behind a family that knew, without question, how deeply she loved them. Her loyalty, strength, protection, and love will remain with them, and her smile will never be forgotten.

Friends and loved ones are invited to her visitation Friday, August 14, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with her funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. at the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, 2553 Lexington, Avenue, Mansfield, Ohio 44904. Private graveside services will be in Oak Grove Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
