Renea Kennedy, age 64, of Galion passed away Saturday July 25, 2026 at Avita Galion Hospital.
Born April 24, 1962 in Bucyrus, she was the daughter of the late Gary and Janice (Carpenter) Britt. She married Steve Kennedy on February 14, 2000 and he survives.
She was a 1980 graduate of Galion High School. She worked at several area businesses throughout her life including United Church Directories, PECO, Speedway and Walmart in Bucyrus. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Galion Moose. She enjoyed doing puzzles and sewing.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brother Mark (Pat) Britt, nephews: Shawn (Jodi) Britt and Kevin (Sophia) Britt, great nieces and great nephews: Courtney, Brandon, Dylan, Talon, Tianna, Sky and Nolan Britt.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Zachary Payne and brother Brian Britt.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM Tuesday August 4, 2026 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday August 5, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 135 N. Liberty Street, Galion with Father Paul Fahrbach officiating.
