Judy A. Adams, 87, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, July 26, 2026.
Born July 31, 1938, in Mansfield, she was the daughter of the late Harold E. and Catherine (Keehner) Armstrong. While still in high school, Judy began working as a bookkeeper for Islay Dairy before later joining Piece Goods Fabric Store. Although she enjoyed working outside the home, the role she cherished most was caring for her family as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker.
On December 31, 1958, in Adrian, Michigan, Judy married the love of her life, Carl Adams. Together they shared more than 67 years of unwavering love, laughter, cherished memories, and countless adventures, building a family that remained the center of their lives.
Judy found great joy in creating beautiful quilts, often spending hours searching for just the right fabrics for her next project. She also loved tending her garden, preserving its harvest through canning, and filling her home with the aromas of home-cooked meals and freshly baked treats. She and Carl especially treasured traveling with their family, sharing a love of history through visits to museums and historic landmarks. More than any hobby or pastime, however, Judy’s greatest happiness came from simply being surrounded by those she loved. Whether celebrating milestones or enjoying an ordinary afternoon together, she treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is lovingly survived by her husband of 67 years, Carl Adams, children Jeff Adams, Cindy (Todd) Vanlandingham, David (Kim) Adams, and Amy (Ed) Wilson grandchildren Sonny (Aubrey) Dotson, Meredith Vanlandingham, Rachel (Paul) Au, Cole (Braydon) Adams, Marcus Vanlandingham, Justin Scharthi, Tiffany (Mark) Baughman, Brandy (Sierra Blase) Adams, Jamie Wilson, and Nate Wilson, as well as many beloved great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to visit from 3 to 5 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2026, at Snyder Funeral Homes, Lexington Avenue Chapel, 2553 Lexington Avenue, Mansfield, where a memorial service celebrating Judy’s life will begin immediately following the visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to Compassus Hospice in recognition of the compassionate care shown to Judy and her family.
