MANSFIELD – The YMCA of North Central Ohio Child Care is inviting the community to help local children start the school year prepared through its Stuff the Bus Child Care School Supply Drive on Saturday, July 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mansfield YMCA.
As families prepare for the upcoming school year, the YMCA is inviting the community to help ensure local children have the tools they need to learn, grow, and succeed.
As the largest child care provider in Richland County, the YMCA of North Central Ohio Child Care provides infant, toddler, preschool, Pre-K, and school-age care for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
School supplies collected will provide current YMCA Child Care Pre-K students with the supplies they need to begin the school year ready to learn. Any additional donations will be distributed to YMCA School Age Child Care participants, helping even more local children start the school year prepared.
Every donation stays local, directly supporting children and families served through YMCA of North Central Ohio Child Care.
Community members are encouraged to donate new school supplies, including backpacks, crayons, pencils, markers, glue sticks, folders, tissues, and other classroom essentials.
Those who are unable to attend the event may drop off donations at the Mansfield YMCA or Shelby YMCA prior to the event. Community members may also sponsor a backpack filled with new school supplies for $30.
Attendees can enjoy lunch from Kurbside Eatz and a sweet treat from Kona Ice while supporting local children.
