MANSFIELD — What’s the real deal with “magic mushrooms?” Those are the types of questions you can get answered at Inkcarceration 2026.

Me? Nah, I was in boring sober mode ‘cause the night before I couldn’t get the camera to work to the elite level needed. My boss and CEO of this news thing you are reading is like good at photos and I knew death would be upon me soon and so I spent all day upgrading my ISO knowledge.

But I was torn on what pictures to take for this new and improved mega ultimate death metal gallery – there were so many beautiful humans at Ink; but at a festival allows you to be free of the expectations of others, especially when it comes to documentation.

Never have I ever heard a negative comment about what someone was wearing in all my decades covering festivals. But it’s that shade cover that matters – the safety of the fest, free of the perv cam, the exploitation, the – wait, sorry, I just got woke-broke; here’s some photos of Sleeping With Sirens, check them out and then I’ll report back.

The real conclusion of life and thrashcore festivals is don’t be awesome if you don’t want people to both admire and have some degree of good envy for you.

Take for example bloody-hand-wash lady. She covered herself in some oil-based lather of crimson for the costume, and after using the porta potty, was trying to wash her hands, but they were like, covered in fake blood. But she was determined to not acknowledge this factor as the red rain poured down her arms and she kept trying to clean up the mess she created and dear god don’t we all.

This Irish-looking dude with red hair whose ancestors were conquered by Vikings gave me a mini turtle and that actually made me happy. Why can’t little things make us content more often?

“Hey, look out!” this rabble rouser said, pointing to the ground as I walked by. He and his cool kid buddies laughed because turns out there was no hazard and I jumped over nothing and maybe we all do that too often.

Shoe-less scooter Johnny about ended my pro wastoid career when he came barreling through the crowd, full throttle on the scooter’s electric gas, holding an inflatable green T-Rex. I guess we all need to be more aware of the plight of others.

Here’s some pics, I dunno, the Ops team I work with is not gonna rock wit da ratio here, but they also make news breathe in a way I never could so maybe we all need a little evolution.
