Glenna Faye (Carden) (Morton) Marino went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 18, 2026. Glenna was born to John Wesley and Willie Mayo (Stone) Carden on July 9, 1936 in Ages, Kentucky. She grew up in Harlan County before moving to Crestline, Ohio in 10th grade.She graduated from Crestline High School in 1954. She was baptized by her father, who was a preacher, on January 7, 1973.

Glenna lived most of her life in Ohio and briefly in Germany. She worked multiple jobs, at MedCentral, Trio Foods, and BFI in Mansfield, Ohio. She also attended different churches, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, a helper in the ladies ministries, and choir singer. She was also a member of the Mansfield Choral Society. Her favorite role, however, was being a homemaker and raising her five daughters and helping to raise her grandson, Chad. She moved to Murfreesboro, TN with her husband in 2012, where she continued faithfully attending and serving at Franklin Road Baptist Church, then at Third Baptist Church. She made many friendships along the journey and leaves a legacy of faithful service to Her Savior.

Glenna’s greatest love was for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as was demonstrated by her enthusiasm when she spoke of Him and shared her love of Him with others. She passionately read and studied her Bible, and loved sharing the gospel with anyone who would listen. She also loved reading voraciously and working puzzles on her sun porch. She spent many an afternoon there with her faithful dog, Brutus. She was blessed with many friends and neighbors who have enjoyed her sense of humor and her love of the Lord and her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. Marino, her mother and father, her sister, Helen Noe, brothers Malcolm Carden, and Wayne Noe.

Glenna was a loving mother to five beautiful daughters, who survive her: Melissa Morton, Michelle Morton, Marna (Jeff) Crane, Marta (Trent) Riley, and Melinda (Darrell) Hunt. She had many grandchildren including: Chad (Shana) Morton, Joseph Crane, Andrew (Nadia) Crane, Caleb Crane, Joshua Crane, Elijah (Elizabeth) Crane, Rachel Crane, Hannah Crane, Lydia Crane, Mason (Precious) Riley, Wesley Riley, Rebekkah Riley, Jessikah Riley, Margaret Riley, and Austen Conwell. She also had great-grandchildren: Breyley (Brandon) Coble, Brayden Morton, Edyn Morton, and Victoria Riley, one great-great-grandchild: Henry Coble, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Landis Carden of KY.

Celebration of life service will be held at Third Baptist Church, 410 W. McKnight Drive, Murfreesboro, TN 37129 on Tuesday, July 21st. Visitation will begin at 11 am, followed by service. Burial to follow at Miller Cemetery, Christiana, TN.
