Shirley Jo (Strong) Musick, 74, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
Born on January 17, 1952, Shirley was the daughter of Charles and Joan (Mowery) Strong. She cherished her family above all else and found her greatest joy in spending time with those she loved.
Shirley was a devoted mother and grandmother who rarely missed the opportunity to cheer on her children from the sidelines during their younger years of playing sports. As her family grew, she treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also shared a special and lasting bond with her brothers and sisters, and she loved gathering with her entire family whenever she could.
Known for her generous heart and hospitality, Shirley enjoyed preparing large meals that brought everyone together around the table. She also had a well-known love for keeping up with current events and was an avid watcher of Fox News.
She is survived by her siblings, Marvin Strong (Jay Miller), Charles Strong, and Kathy (Junie) Rhodes; her children, Wayman (Ed, Jr.) Musick, Randy Musick, and Nichole (Shawn) Martin; her grandchildren, Gage, Elizabeth, Ashton, Duncan, Maxwell, Shelby, Kacie, Sarah, and Ada; and her great-grandchildren, Cade, Titan, Gwen, and Ethan.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Joan Strong; brother, Jackie Strong; and sisters, Candace Strong and Joyce Lewis.
Shirley will be remembered for her love of family, her unwavering support of those she loved, and the many memories shared around her table.
