Nash Wilder Smith, (Nashy Poo), beloved newborn son of Jesse and Ashley Smith, passed away in his sleep on June 23, 2026.
From the moment he was born on April 27, 2026, Nash was showered with love, hugs and kisses by all who came in contact with him. The memories made will last a lifetime until we can be with him again. Words cannot express the loss of our sweet angel.
In addition to his parents, Jesse Smith and Ashley (Schauer) Smith, he is survived by big bothers, Brodie Gibson, Branson Kirkpatrick, and Gunner Smith, and big sister Layla Smith, paternal grandparents Mike and Tammy Smith, maternal grandparents Shannon and Mike Hockett, and Ed Schauer and Gail Gregg, paternal great grandparents Gerald and Lorraine Cooper, and Janice Smith, along with numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 9-10:30am on Thursday at Herlihy Funeral Home, 173 Park Avenue West. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:30 Thursday at St. Peter Catholic Church, 60 S. Mulberry Street. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
